Description
Smaller sister to the Edwardian 26, the hull of this version has also been based upon the Lifu launch. Her lines have, however, been further deepened so that she can also take the weight of batteries for electric propulsion. A 1.4 hp 48 volt motor may be used and there is room for batteries which would give a 12 hour cruising range. Alternatively, of course, she may be steam or diesel powered to suit your own requirements. The standard arrangement shown on the plans has an aft saloon which is big enough to take 2 full length bunks with stowage space for a small galley and wc. Forward is an open cockpit area with the steering position using a side wheel.
The plans show computer faired mould shapes for strip planked construction allowing the builder to get straight in to making the building mould without the need for lofting and details are given for the motor and steering installation.
Details are available of the mould shapes for a 21' x 5'10" version of the Edwardian 19.
