7 x 19 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

This is grade 304 7x19 wire rope or cable. It is preferred by many for standing rigging on small sailboats.

The 1/8" diameter size has a breaking strength of 1760 lbs.

Although the 7 x 19 is sometimes used for standing rigging (shrouds and stays), because it is more flexible, and has the potential to stretch more than the 1 x 19, the 7 x 19 is more commonly used for running rigging, like halyards for example.
