Aurelio asked me for a new boat, much longer, for his wife and himself, for the Como lake.
The aim of this design is to run a little bit more 20 knots at a maximum speed, for a low fuel consumption.
It could be easily understood when you come from the sailing world, much more slower in terms of cruising speed. (Aurelio is the Inseparable 398' s owner)
That's why she weight only 530kg in light displacement configuration and is equipped with the minimum.
She is built in strip planking sandwich with fiber glass for the bottom hull shell and with epoxy plywood for all the rest of the boat: the result is a very cheap and light construction for a singular little model.
TATOO 598 is designed for sheltered waters, at relatively low speeds for walking around. The hull is designed to reach this target.
Scantlings are defined relatively light to fit this specifications and are not calculated for much higher speeds in very choppy waters and bad weather. She is a reasonable economical ship for a quiet use.
Full set of plans with cutting files of all parts, excepted strip planking bottom hull shell.
PLANS are designed only for people who will use the cutting files.
