Description
I have often been asked to stretch the basic Thames 12 designâusing the same beamâto a skiff capable of having 2 rowing positionsâwe now have this in the 17â Thames Skiff which has the same attractive 5 planks per side hull shape and using the same simple stitch and tape method of construction.
The plans show both a double and single rowing position so that she can be fitted out either way. She uses 5 to 6 sheets of 4,5 or 6mm plyâif required she could take a small sail rig or use a small electric outboard.
