Pintles and Gudgeons should always be bolted on. Period. We resisted trying to make kits for all the different pintle and gudgeon sets we sell because there are so many different lengths of bolts needed. Finally we figured out that we could supply kits with bolts long enough for most installations and so we have these. Rudder and transom thicknesses vary so much that trying to match them to bolt lengths is all but impossible anyway. With these kits, you will probably have to trim most of the bolts but that is often necessary anyway.

Excellent quality - truly. That is one fantastic product there. My rudder won't fail on me - not because of the pintle/gudeons or fasteners.
