1 x 19 Stainless Steel Wire Rope

This is grade 316 1x19 wire rope or cable. It is recommended by most sailors for standing rigging on small sailboats due to its low stretch.

Although the 7 x 19 is sometimes used for standing rigging (shrouds and stays), because it is more flexible, and has the potential to stretch more than the 1 x 19, the 7 x 19 is more commonly used for running rigging, like halyards for example.
