Foil Carrying Bag (for OZ Goose)

The Oz Goose Foilbag is to protect the beautiful rudder and centreboard you made from following the plan steps and using the templates.

Sailors often take great pains over sails and rig, but underestimate the effect of very nice foils. The foils produce forces that are equal and opposite to the sails, so are just as important to keep in good condition.

The outer bag is a breathable synthetic canvas padded with layers of 3mm soft closed cell foam. Inside there are separate divisions for the Centreboard and rudder blades. The top closes with a velcro flap. There is a carrying handle on the long side.

I've (Michael Storer) have been using one of the prototypes for a couple of years now with very regular sailing in the Philippines. The black has faded to a dark grey because our boat storage area is open to the sunlight, but there is no physical deterioration of the bag inside and out.

Below is a drawing of the standard centreboard and rudder. Please make sure your centreboard and rudder are close to these overall dimensions. They can be slightly oversize by a few millimetres.
