The ECO 6 Power is the big brother of the well-proven ECO 55. Numerous ECO 55 builds are sailing, including in demanding environments such as the Pacific Northwest. One boat even operates out of Juneau, Alaska, clear proof of the design’s seaworthiness and robustness.
The ECO 6 Power follows the same proven construction philosophy: a boat that can be built by firsttime boat builders. It uses the well proven wood/glass/epoxy composite structure. No special tools are required, and no unfamiliar construction methods need to be learned.
With an empty weight of approximately 470 kg, the boat is light for a craft of this size, especially considering the generous accommodation it offers. This low weight brings a significant advantage. The ECO 6 Power can be easily trailered behind a modest-sized car. The specifications speak for themselves.
Trailability opens up entirely new possibilities, allowing owners to explore different cruising grounds without being tied to a single home port.

CONSTRUCTION
The craft is built using a proven and easy-to-learn wood / fiberglass / epoxy composite construction system.
The hulls are build up on six bulkheads and wooden stringers, making it suitable even for novice boat builders.
As mentioned, the craft is lightweight. Each finished hull weighs approximately 60 kg, allowing a single person to turn a completed hull if necessary. Construction of the bridge deck follows the same straightforward principles.
The hulls are built upside down. An easy and accurate system is provided to align the bulkheads correctly during assembly.
Fairing can be carried out efficiently using a belt sander or power planer.
The hulls can be easily finished, including fiber-glassing and painting up side down. This method ensures a high-quality finish while also saving time.
