Description
Drift boats are usually used in tricky rivers with fast running currents and rocky passages for fly fishing. The oarsman sits aft, facing forward and uses the oars to manoeuvre the boat round rocks whilst the boat is carried down river by the current. The fly fisherman stands forward braced against the foredeck whilst he is fishing. The seating is adjustable and by repositioning the seats, the boat can be rowed conventionally. A very rugged design which can be built using either conventional ply over frame methods or stitch and tape.
