Description
Having developed the strip plank details for a strip plank version of the 14' Morning Tide, another client asked me to draw just the mould shapes, building jig and hull construction for a 16' LOD strip plank version. I have now developed these drawings into a full plan set.
Unlike the Morning Tide 14 and 18 designs, this new plan set, so far, is just for strip plank construction with computer faired mould shapes. Like her 2 sisters, for her length she is a heavy cruising yacht with generous beam and as much comfort as possible within her length. There are 2 keel configurations detailed - a long keel with ballast box and a shallower ballast keel with steel bilge plates so that she will sit upright when she dries out. There is room for 2 decent berths, a galley and a curtained space for a Porta Potti type WC. The cockpit is self draining and the cockpit is 5'9" long for comfortable sitting. |
