Description
Back in 1993 A. Simmons Aluminium Craft asked me to produce the hull panel and frame/transom shapes for a single chine version of the Skylark 8. Tony Simmons wanted an ultra simple small dinghy for easy family use built in aluminium for lightweight car-topping and which needed minimal maintenance. The design worked well but was only ever offered in aluminium - recently I have added a stitch and tape plywood construction drawing to the original plank shape drawing along with details of the rudder, daggerboard and sail/spar plans from the Simplicity 8. The new drawing gives the stitch & tape details needed for a simple plywood hull. |
