Description
I was commissioned to design a GRP family motor sailer with the emphasis on getting the most comfortable "package" into 27' LOD. The design has centre raised deckhouse which houses the galley and dinette with interior steering position. Forward of this is a double cabin and aft is a cockpit with exterior steering position followed by another double cabin giving up to 6 berths in total. As mentioned, hull and deck construction is detailed for GRP but the mould/building jig details allow her to be made in strip plank (and we can advise on the change from a grp deck to wood). the drawing package shows all the construction details for the grp hull and deck/superstructure plus interior fit-out and joiner details. Details of machinery installation, sail, spar and deck plan are not as yet available but could be quickly drawn up.
