Traditional Greek fishing boats are known for their high carrying capacity and, with their double ended hulls, their seaworthiness. I have tried to retain these features in this new small design. The hull is strip planked and, at this relatively short length and with the double ended hull design, will almost certainly have to have the hull planked on what we call 'the great circle' route. So, instead of starring the planking at the gunwale, the first plank will start high at the bow and be allowed to take the relaxed route down around the bilge before rising again up the stern. Further planking then continues above and below this first plank.
A 20 hp inboard diesel is shown but inboards of around 7-10hp would be fine.
