The Hazelnut has been designed for those who want a similar hull shape to the Peterborough model but without the turned up ends. This gives a flatter sheer line more like a guide boatâshe retains the 5 plank per side shape with tumblehome for ease in paddling and stability. The ends form tanks for stowage or buoyancy and construction uses the simple stitch and tape method.
Note - see the On-Line Manual of Stitch & Tape Construction for a series of photos showing a Hazelnut being built.
