Description
The Inishmore is one of a number of strip planked designs that we have enabling the builder to finish up with a beautiful round bilged craft of light weight. The Inishmore is a lovely strip planked dinghy which was initially based upon our Highlander 10' for shape and size. 6 or 8mm Cedar strip is used covered inside and out with a light weight glass cloth in epoxy resin for a clear/natural finish. The mould shapes for this are drawn full size and have been computer faired. She can be built purely as a rowing dinghy and as such she would grace the transom davits of any classic motor cruiser. For sailing we have given her a simple sprit rig. This has an unstayed mast with a sail that can be brailed up out of the way against the mast when you want to stop sailing and row or motor along. We have detailed solid wood slated seats and thwarts for a high class fit-out.
