Description
11.5 foot simple overnight cruiser sailboat for two, designed for protected or inland waters.
With this plan I tried to go towards extreme minimalism, while remaining in the formula of the classic pocket cruiser. It's the smallest size that keeps a real cockpit and a double cabin.
Security first, all the volume under the bunk is buoyancy foam. But there are still enough room and rear storages for a long weekend aboard. The hollow mast is made from boards, and then rounded. I choose a twin-keel configuration, as I find a semi long keel very practical in swallow waters without having a daggerboard trunk in the middle of the cabin.
The plan include all the parts dimensions, the bottom reference curve to set a simple building jig and a file for CNC router with âpuzzleâ joints between hull panels, but all can be done the manual way.
Stitch & glue assembly for most of the boat.
10 sheets of ACX 1/4 plywood.
DXF file for CNC.
Weight 250 Lbs
Sail area 64 Sq.Ft.
