HEADWATER V-20 PREDATOR Designed by Tracy O’Brien The V-20 Predator is the culmination of years of development and input from builders, boat owners and sport and commercial fishermen. While akin to the Oregon dory with it’s flared sides and upswept bow, the hull features a beamy, full length V-bottom with seven degrees of deadrise at the transom and a pronounced forefoot to smooth out whitewater rivers and take offshore seas in stride yet power requirements are modest for Good economy. You can use single or twin outboards, I/O’s, or jet units up to 700 Lbs. Plans include self-bailing cockpit, center console, and pilothouse options. Hull sides are 1/2” with either 3/4” or 7/8’ bottom. Using proven “Stitch & Glue” methods, construction is fast and easy even for first time builders. Plywood panels are scarfed up and then sawn to shape using the panel layouts provided in the drawings. No patterns are needed. Seams are stitched together forming the hull in the process, which is then epoxy bonded together with exposed surfaces sealed in epoxy and hull exteriors sheathed in protective fiberglass cloth.
