The original Simplicity 14 has had several additions to it's plan set over the years but having had a request for the hull panel shapes for a 15' x 6'8" version I decided to go ahead and complete the plans set for this new hull rather than just add the new details to the 14 footer plans.

 The additional length has been put into the cockpit area and the new design retains the same central ballast keel and bilge keel arrangement as the 14 footer. Apart from the standard guner main with jib rig, the plans also show details for a Chinese Lug rig. The plans also give alternative keel arrangements including pivoted leeboards and a centreplate arrangement.

 Construction is simple stitch and tape with epoxy filleted chine but details are also given for an alternative wood chine stringer.
