EP CARRY ACCESSORIES
EP Carry’s modular system adapts to a variety of batteries and use cases. Customers with range anxiety can add spare batteries or wireless battery monitors, and remote cruisers can bring along spare parts in case field repairs are necessary.

6 lb Spare Battery
SKU 5023

Our batteries are waterproof and packed in a buoyant soft case with a convertible shoulder strap and a 2 ft cord that connects to the motor. Total weight is 6.4lb. Our batteries are made by K2 energy, now with 17% more capacity; 25.6V, 11.25 Ah, 288Wh.

This battery will power a gen 2 EP Carry for 60 minutes at full power and 70 min of full-power run time for older motors that have not been upgraded to higher power.

(fully waterproof, buoyant
with soft case)

AC Charger with Adapter
SKU 7001

AC charger for EP Carry packages. Works with all K2 Energy brand 9.6Ah or 11Ah batteries shipped with our EP Carry motors. If your motor has a short cord with a 3-pin snap lock connector, choose the earlier connector format. If your motor has a snap lock connector with 2-pins, choose the newer version. This charger draws 40W-60W on average but use an inverter rated at 200W or greater for efficient charging from a house-bank. When charging from a 12V house bank the power draw is 4-5 Amps.

Wireless Battery Monitor
Kit
SKU 7073
This simple-to-install marinized dongle reports your battery's state of charge, remaining run time and more on your IOS or Android phone or tablet. This monitor contains a high quality Coulomb counter device by Thornwave Labs called PowerMon. EP Carry's version has two wires and one terminal to simplify installation, and it is over-molded for robust marinized performance. This meter works with any 12V, 24V or 36V battery system used to power your EP Carry motor. Communication range is between 40 and 90 ft.

Remote Cruising Spares
Kit
SKU 5039
Cruisers who venture to remote places may benefit from having spares on hand when under way. This kit is made up of the most requested spares all together in a logo dry bag so it can be identified when needed among your other gear. This kit also includes a printed troubleshooting guide so you have access to instructions even when data service is unavailable. Purchasing this kit all together is a $64 savings over purchasing these parts separately. This kit does not contain a spare battery to replace a lost or stolen one. But the cord that is included can also connect to any 12V battery. Gen 2 motors can use a 12V battery in a pinch but at a lower power level. Similarly, Gen 1 motors that have had the free firmware update will also run from a 12V battery.
Includes:
  • Printed EP Carry troubleshooting guide with diagnostic instructions (also available as a free download- see product page)
  • EP Carry dry bag
  • EPC tool kit
  • Tilt pin and rings.
  • Transom lock
  • Battery cord kit (choose the 2 or 3 pin version that matches your motor. New motors use the 2 pin version)
  • 2 spare magnetic safety keys
  • Clamp Screw kit including clamp foot, screw and handle.
  • Battery terminal screw kit
  • Throttle knob kit fits all EP Carry versions
  • Propeller kit with propeller, prop-cap and cotter pins

12V Battery Operation Kit
SKU 7080

Gen 2 EP Carry motors accept 24V or 36V batteries and automatically adjust to provide the same max power output. Gen 2 motors also run from 12V batteries but a 12V source will not provide full power operation without help. This kit boosts a 12V battery voltage up to 24V so you can get full power from a 12V battery too. 12V batteries are more common, provide power for your other gear, are available in more sizes and are generally less expensive than higher voltage battery formats. Here are some examples of 12V LFP (LiFePO4) batteries on a 14’ camp cruiser (see picture) weighing 800 lb traveling at 4.8 mph.

3’ Extension Cable
SKU 7069
This 3ft extension cable is a plug and play solution to extend the distance between your EP Carry motor and the battery. Each cable extends this distance by 3 ft and up to two extensions can be used to power your EP Carry without impacting motor performance. This extension works with all battery voltage formats. Like the battery cable, it is made from marine 10g fine strand tinned copper wire cable and fitted with mating snap lock connectors.

Tiller Extension Arm
SKU 7096

The tiller extension kit is great for longer boats where the seating position is more distant from the motor. These boats include Gig Harbor dinghies and sailboats, pulling boats, canoes, fishing kayaks and many stitch-and-glue kit boats.

The tiller arm steering extension kit extends your steering up to 10 inches, measured from the throttle knob. For a long-tiller EP Carry, this allows steering up to 31 inches from the back of your transom or mounting plate. For short tiller arm versions it allows steering up to 21 inches. It can be used in any extended position. Throttle function is not extended with this kit—only steering. It slides easily back in place when not needed (see photos showing stowed position).

Kit includes:

  • 2 mating CNC machined clamp brackets
  • extension tube with rubber ball ends
  • 4 stainless T25 securing screws

Spare propeller and gear module

Includes the prop, drive gear and bushings all in one module- it's like getting a lower unit rebuild when you change your prop. Prop has high aspect-ratio glass-filled Nylon blades; 13" diameter and 9 inch pitch. The module weighs 0.3 lb.

It is extremely rare to break this module because it is protected electronically from impact damage through the motor's controller. Your sign that the module needs replacing is an increase in vibration from wear. For more information see our troubleshooting guide.
